Small Groups

Walk with others in community.

Small Groups

We think church happens around two tables: the communion table on Sundays, and the family table during the week. If you are looking to get connected in community and to practice discipleship to Jesus with others at Refuge, we hope you'll consider being a part of a Small Group.

Our dream is that everyone who calls Refuge home could be fully a part of a community where they can love and be loved, share their gifts, and doubts, and everything else that's a part of following Jesus.

Small Group Guides

This is our “curriculum” or resource for small groups. Even if you’re not currently in a small group but would like to go deeper with the sermon and discipleship with your family, friends, or roommates, this resource is for you!

Join a Small Group

Our formal Small Groups program runs in 8 week terms in the Fall, Winter, & Spring to make it easier for you to commit to a group for that amount of time. If you are looking to join a Small Group at the start of the term, browse our open groups. Use the link below to request to join the group you’d like to visit!

Lead a Small Group

Small Group Leaders are basically the day-in and day-out pastors of our church. As they attempt to live their own lives with Jesus, they provide space where those in their small group can process and be transformed. A Small Group Leader must be in the process of becoming a voting member. If you are interested in becoming a Small Group leader, sign-up for our next Leaders Lunch!

"We have loved and been loved in ways that we had not for many years prior to joining Refuge."

—Justin, Group Member
