Operations & Finance Manager - Part Time
Refuge Church – Albuquerque, NM
18 hours/week | Hybrid (on-site + remote)
Refuge Church is seeking a highly organized, trustworthy, and relationally grounded Operations & Finance Manager to help steward the administrative and financial life of our church.
This role is central to the health of our staff team, the care of our facility, and the long-term sustainability of our ministry. It exists to ensure that our systems run well so our pastors and ministry leaders can focus on discipleship, formation, and mission.

What You’ll Do (Overview)
You will own and oversee four main areas:
Financial Administration (approx. 35%)
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks
Process reimbursements, bills, and payroll
Record giving and deposits
Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership
Maintain organized financial records and procedures
Facilities & Operations (approx. 30%)
Supervise and support our Facility Assistant
Coordinate building maintenance and vendors
Manage facility scheduling and logistics
Track facility expenses and supplies
Serve as first point of contact for building needs
Executive Support to the Lead Pastor (approx. 25%)
Assist with email triage and scheduling (as delegated)
Prepare materials for staff and board meetings
Track action items and follow-ups
Maintain organized digital systems
Staff & Ministry Support (approx. 10%)
Help with staff meeting logistics
Provide operational support to ministry leaders as capacity allows
Schedule & Availability
18 hours per week
Part-time, non-exempt position
Flexible schedule, but some consistent weekday availability is required
Mix of on-site and remote work
Occasional additional hours during high-volume seasons (holidays, major events, fiscal year end)
Qualifications
Experience with bookkeeping or financial administration (QuickBooks strongly preferred)
Strong organizational and communication skills
High attention to detail and follow-through
Comfort supervising part-time staff or volunteers
Ability to handle confidential information with care and integrity
Alignment with the mission and values of Refuge Church
Familiarity with Google Workspace, Planning Center, or similar tools (or willingness to learn)
Preferably connected to Refuge Church or open to becoming part of the community
